Easy way to earn money - $100 a week

The internet is full of scams, and the ones that aren't, pay in pennies. I'm sure a lot of you have made peace with this fact if you have some form of experience in the past searching for easy work from home jobs. And believe me, I'm not a stranger to that.

While there is a certain amount of resources that may help you make a quick buck online, but most of them do require certain skills. For example, it is really not that hard to score a few gigs on Fiverr, but you do need a skill, and you need to be very good with it. Because let's face it, the competition is huge, and you might be a God-tier graphic designer, but there is always someone better, and "someone" in this context is an infinitely large number of people.

Anyway, back to the topic, I wanna talk about something that I find is often overlooked when it comes to making money online doing small jobs. I am talking about the UHRS system, or the Universal Human Relevance System. Essentially, it's like a market where companies post very small jobs called micro-tasks and get people to work on them.

But here's the thing; these tasks can be done by anyone who knows how to use a computer and the internet, with no other skills whatsoever. This is the main reason why companies don't really hire people full-time and give them 401Ks for these jobs; these are too trivial and anyone can do them!

The problem is, you can't just go to the website and start working; someone has to give you access to the portal! And this is actually the hard part. Most of the time, you need to apply for companies such as Appen, or Lionbridge to be able to get access to a projects that use UHRS. But chances of that happening are very slim, and not to mention that it might take weeks to hear back from them; mine took 4 months!

But I did find a way out.

It actually took me a while to realise this, but this site provides one of the easiest ways to get into UHRS. Clickworker is a site that provides all kinds of micro-tasks, and some of them are really weird. I once made 2 euros by recording myself speaking a random phrase in different ways. These kinds of tasks are readily available as soon as you sign up on the site, but you have to appear for a small test to get into the UHRS system.

Check out some more articles like this -

Create an account on the site and log in with your username and password.

In the main Dashboard, look for a section called Assessments, and click on the link below it with the same name. This is where you see all the tests you need to clear for extra jobs that you don't usually see in your main dashboard. These jobs usually pay more, and you gotta pass a test to make yourself eligible for these jobs.

But don't worry, these tests are only there to make sure you have the basic skills everyone should have, like having a decent control over the English language. Below is a screenshot of my Assessments page.

Completing Base assessments qualify you for more specialised tasks on Clickworker. However for the sake of this article, I will be covering only the Projects assessments part here. You can see that there are no assessments on that section in the screenshot, but that's only because I completed my qualification for UHRS already. You as a new user, would see a test just like the one on the Base assessments section.

Important note : It is essential that you read the guidelines provided in the beginning of the test. This makes sure you don't mess up your answers, and I'm pretty sure you are only allowed to take this test only once.

The tests takes only a few minutes of your time, and would test your basic English communication skills and also a few tasks that would require you to visit webpages and look for certain information like addresses, brand names, etc. Be careful and take your time, they don't penalise you for that.

Next, you will have to create a Microsoft account. This is essential as the UHRS requires a Live ID. Your Live ID is your e-mail address on Microsoft, ending with @hotmail, @live or @outlook. You can choose any of these and it makes no difference on your eligibility.

If you pass, which I'm sure you will, well congrats! You deserve the highest of the fives!

If everything went well, you will see an option to work on UHRS tasks in the main Clickworker dashboard.

It always helps to have a little motivation by your side. Check this out

Working on UHRS - Overview

You will be redirected to the UHRS portal to begin working. The main page will require you to sign in with your Live ID. Once accepted, you will be taken to a page where you will see a list of jobs available.

It's kind of confusing at first glace, but here are the essentials -

  • Favourites - Tasks that you often work on will appear on this side for easy access.

  • HitApps - These are different types of tasks available for you to work on.

  • Price - This is the amount of money you earn for each task you complete.

  • Available Hits - The number of tasks available at the time you log in to the portal.

  • Guideline - Basic guidelines that teach you how to complete a particular set of tasks. Each HitApp will have different guidelines depending on the task.

  • Preview - You can preview a task before actually working on it so you can get an idea of what you're getting into.

  • Qualification - A mini test to make sure you are qualified to do the tasks.

  • Audit - No idea. Stay clear of this one.

  • Training - Some tasks provide basic training to familiarise you with the work.

  • Start judging - Begin working on a particular set of tasks.

The variety of tasks you're going to see is huge. These can be anything from filtering out questionable websites from the good ones, or picking out phone numbers from websites of different brands. However, I'm sure the biggest thing you might have noticed that these tasks pay ridiculously low! $0.02 per task looks like a total joke, I can't deny that!

But here's the thing; these tasks pay so low because you probably need only a few seconds to complete them. For example, if you get $0.02 for one task, you probably only need around 5-7 seconds to complete it. Looking at a bigger picture, you can make $1 for every such 50 tasks in 5 minutes. This essentially means that you can make around $8-$14 dollars an hour! Doesn't sound bad now, does it? If you are making any quick calculations in your head right now, I'm sure you realise that it's actually pretty easy to reach the $100/week mark this way. And since the variety of tasks is endless, there is a very good possibility that you will get the chance to make much more than that. Some people are making 4-5x that amount per week!

Clickworker helps you all throughout this process, and if you have any confusion or you are stuck somewhere, don't hesitate to mail them. They usually reply within the day.

Essential things to keep in mind

  • You will need a Paypal or Payoneer account to be able to receive payments from Clickworker. Make sure you sign up to these sites if you haven't already. Alternatively, you might be paid straight to your bank account, and it is absolutely essential that you have an account in your own name.

  • Don't treat this as your main source of income. The availability of tasks depends on a lot of factors, and you might even go days without finding any work. There are no set hours of work, and the same tasks are available to everyone in your country, so it's basically first-come-first-serve.

  • It is absolutely vital that you go through and follow each guideline for any task you decide to complete. Take advantage of previews and training to minimise your chances of messing up. They are strictly against low quality work, and if you think you'll just blindly click on everything to breeze through tasks and get away with it, you'll probably end up getting blocked. Or worse, banned from the whole portal altogether.

  • Never make duplicate accounts in the effort to make more money. Everything from you name, IP address, location, etc are tracked, recorded and stored. You are risking a permanent ban this way. Play by the rules; don't try to cheat the system.

  • This is not a get-rich-quick scheme. You will be doing tasks that contribute to real businesses and the way content is filtered around the internet. The work is easy, but you still have to pay attention and stick to rules if you wanna make a decent profit.
